To The Family of God
“And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.”
The prayer offered in faith is a prayer based on confidence that God can and wants to heal. Even to tell God of our trials helps to alleviate them. Prayer brings the soul near to Him who bears upon His loving heart the burdens of His people’s sorrows. As we pray, our cares and trials pass into the Divine breast, and we are made of one will with our Father.
Prayer means to ask someone a specific request. If you want a specific blessing, you will have to pray specifically. We must be specific if we want success in our prayer life. God will give us either the particular blessing which we ask, or, if that would not be good for us, something still better.
