DESCRIPTION:HIGHER LEARNING MINISTRY \n2020 Annual Graduation Recognition Ceremony  \nBetween June 1st-19th – ALL High School\, College and Trade School Graduates should send the following information to the Higher Learning Ministry announcing their graduation so they will be included in the VIRTUAL Graduation Recognition Ceremony on Sunday\, June 28th. \n\nName\nPicture\nSchool/College/University\nDegree/Certification Earned\nFuture Plans\n\nALL information must be submitted by Friday\, June 19th if you plan to be included in the Virtual Graduation Ceremony.  Please send to:  Latanya_1913@yahoo.com \nGraduate Recognition Form available on Shiloh’s website – https://www.shilohmbc.net   (Click on Ministries => Higher Learning) \n2020 SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION \nStudents who wish to be considered for the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church Scholarship must meet the following criteria as determined by the Shiloh Higher Learning Ministry: \n\nGraduating High School Senior (Class of 2020).\nMember of Shiloh Baptist Church.\nLetter of acceptance to either a 2-year or 4-year institution or technical program.\nOfficial High School Transcript with appropriate seal.\nG.E.D. Certification of at least 78 or a GPA of 3.0.\nA Completed Application which includes:\nA completed application form\nA typed 300-500 words essay\nThree letters of recommendation (e.g. school\, church\, community leader or employer).\n\nLetters from relatives will NOT be accepted. \nEssay Criteria: A typed 300-500 words essay. Choose one of the options below: \nOption 1:  The coronavirus pandemic has significantly impacted how we see and navigate the world. How has the coronavirus impacted you? What have you learned during the quarantine that will propel you forward in life?  \nOption 2:  Proverbs 22:6 says\, “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old\, he will not depart from it.”  Please share how you will apply this scripture to your life or your Christian walk as you pursue a higher education?  \nOption 3: Why is being a Christian important to you?
