FAITH. FAMILY. LEGACY.

Hebrews chapter 11 verse 8-10 states:  By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.  By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise:  For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.

There are two illustrative examples where we’ve seen this passage exemplified in our own lives.  These two examples can be found right here at Shiloh.  The first can be seen through the lens of our Pastor’s life.  It was 25 years ago that he and his family began their faith journey here to Minnesota from Mississippi.  By faith, Pastor Daniels obeyed God, not knowing where the next 25 years would take him but what he did know, Is that God, is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him.  He brought his family, or shall we say heirs of that same promise with him. Three generations all here together.  Faith. Family. Legacy.

The second example is our church, Shiloh. Our founding members, also had faith similar to Abraham not knowing that the next 50 years would bring them to a place such as this, with God as the architect, with many members belonging to Christ, seeds of Abraham and heirs to that same promise.  Faith. Family. Legacy.

Our theme bridges our past and our future and we will kick off with a year-long celebration in honor of our Pastor and first family, and will culminate in 2017 when we celebrate 50 years as a church family.
